The Centre for Microtechnology and Surface Analysis has been involved in laser micromachining since 2001. The experiences include national, international research projects and smaller development projects based on the collaboration with small and medium sized companies. The laser services are offered in R&D projects and in smaller job-shop activities, where the customer is charged per hour. Sometimes minor units of production series are performed in extension of development projects.
The centre is in possession of a femto second laser, an excimer laser, a CO2 laser and a diode laser system. It is possible when using the suited laser system to achieve micromachined structures down to a resolution of 1µm. The different laser systems offer to machine a broad range of materials. The femto second laser can process e.g. glass, diamante ceramics, polymers and metals. Due to the short pulsed laser characteristics the machining is implemented with minimal heat affection on the surrounding materials. The machining can be performed by using the laser beam with help of a galvanometer scanner or by moving the sample with help of a XY-high precision stage. A comprehensive overview about the laser characteristics are given in the following presentation: More detailed case studies are presented in the following examples: Links | Jeg er din kontaktpersonKasper VestentoftSeniorkonsulent Mikroteknologi og Overfladeanalyse +45 72 20 33 65 Skriv til mig |
