ROS MeetUp Vol. II

Join us for a day where it is all about ROS. You will meet Dr. Mirko Bordignon, who coordinates the ROS-Industrial initiative in Europe and is an expert in Open Source. We will share our experiences with ROS and showcase some of our projects that use ROS but we also want to hear about your experiences.

Alle arrangementer på Teknologisk Institut bliver evalueret af deltagerne. Stjernerne angiver deltagernes gennemsnitlige tilfredshed.

Evalueringen er baseret på: 10 besvarelser

ROS MeetUp Vol. II is...

A networking platform for the ROS community in Denmark. Whether you are aficionado, expert, or user of ROS this is the place to share experiences and learn from each other.

Keynote Speaker

Dr Mirko Bordignon

Dr. Mirko Bordignon has been working at the Robotics Department at Fraunhofer IPA in Stuttgart, Germany since 2015. His focus is on software engineering and system integration for robotics and automation, with special attention towards Open Source. He coordinates the ROS-Industrial initiative for Europe, and was previously a software engineer in the automation industry. He holds a PhD from the University of Southern Denmark.

Presentation Abstract

Writing and maintaining programs for robots poses some interesting challenges. It is hard to generalize them, as their targets are more than computing platforms. Dr. Mirko Bordignon will in his presentation be focusing on how Fraunhofer IPA tackles these challenges, how Open Source is its common trait and how this translates into the industrial field thanks to the ROS-Industrial initiative.
