Invitation to Join Nordic Online Workshops on Carbon Capture - Accelerating the Green Transition in the Nordics with NorCCS

We invite innovative SMEs, large corporations, technology providers, and Nordic stakeholders to participate in a unique series of online workshops this autumn – aimed at advancing Carbon Capture technologies across Denmark, Norway, and Sweden.

NorCCS is a new partnership between leading Nordic Research and Technology Organisations (DTI, SINTEF, and RISE), supported by Nordic Innovation. Our goal: to accelerate CCS innovation and commercialization, especially for hard-to-abate sectors and negative emission solutions (BECCS).

Workshop Focus Areas:

Workshop 1: Monitoring Technologies for Air Emissions
Host: SINTEF
Date: September 11th, 2025 from 14.00 to 16.30
Discuss new monitoring solutions, public acceptance, and regulatory best practices.

Workshop 2: Reduction of Energy Consumption for Carbon Capture
Host: Danish Technological Institute
Date: September 25th, 2025 from 9.00 to 11.30
Explore integration of CC with industrial sites, energy efficiency, and large-scale heat pumps.

Workshop 3: Advances in Solvents for Carbon Capture
Host: RISE
Date: October 30th, 2025 from 14.00 to 16.30
Learn about advances in solvent development, stabilization, and corrosion prevention.

Why Participate?

  • Shape the Nordic CCS innovation agenda and connect with leading RTOs and industry peers
  • Present your challenges and discover new collaborative opportunities
  • Gain early access to upcoming joint Nordic industry/research projects

We welcome representatives from all Nordic countries, including both established and emerging CCS companies to participate and explore the possibilities for becoming part of new R&D projects.
