A toxic relationship: Time to break up with PFAS
Chemical-resistant, insulating, friction-reducing, temperature-resistant, durable. Since the 1940s, the unique properties of PFAS have made them industry’s loyal partner across countless applications and products.
But today we know that this partnership is toxic – harming both people and the environment. With tightening regulations and an EU-wide ban on the horizon, the time has come to say goodbye forever to PFAS wherever it is possible.
A lot of effort is spent talking about why the PFAS issue difficult to crack. We believe the time is better spent talking about solutions. Join us to do exactly that on 6 November, where we bring together industry, utilities, experts and decision-makers for a solution-driven day.
The goal of the conference is to inspire action across sectors – with insights from leading specialists and frontrunner companies already taking steps to eliminate PFAS.
The conference is hosted by Danish Technological Institute in collaboration with Clean, IDA Polymer and with support from The Danish Agency for Higher Education and Science.
The conference is designed for R&D leaders, CTOs, environmental managers and other decision-makers and specialists navigating the PFAS challenge.
The conference will take place in the Conference Hall at Danish Technological Institute, Kongsvang Allé 29, Aarhus.
Free parking is available opposite the main entrance.
Language: Primarily English.
The conferences POLYMER25 and Goodbye Forever! will take place on two consecutive days (5 and 6 November). Read more about POLYMER25 here: https://www.teknologisk.dk/kurser/polymer25/k91253
Register for both conferences to receive a discount – and double the value in knowledge, networking, and inspiration.
Clean members and IDA members are also offered a special discount for the Goodbye Forever! conference.

Your R&D habits drain budgets and yield unreliable results. Discover how to maintain this status quo with seven deadly research sins that maximize waste and minimize progress. The fix? An ambitious shift to robust, data-driven practices and an R&D culture that actually works.
Are we too focused on the impossible PFAS challenges – and losing speed on the solutions we could implement today? If solutions already exist, why aren’t more companies using them – and what is holding them back? A panel of relevant stakeholders discuss PFAS solutions.
Robert Bilott, Partner Taft Law
PFAS contamination is already reshaping markets, reputations, and balance sheets—and yet, too many companies are standing still. Robert Bilott, the attorney who took on the world’s biggest PFAS polluters, delivers a blunt warning: waiting for legislation is gambling with your company’s future. From insurers walking away to lawsuits you can’t settle quietly, Bilott lays out the hidden costs of inaction—and the urgent steps leaders must take now.
Prebooked meeting rooms await you to informally discuss PFAS issues or possible collaborations with DTI specialists, Clean consultants, or other participants.
