Polymer26 takes place on 4 November 2026 at Danish Technological Institute in Aarhus, Denmark.
Business Manager, Danish Technological Institute. With over a decade of experience in recycling technologies, Per drives strategic industrial partnerships and innovation within circular economy and plastics recycling, having initiated projects such as CRISP and InFACT on large-scale food packaging recycling and circular plastics. Together with Alexander Sandahl, Per opens the day with an overview of the circular polymer landscape, current technologies and market trends.
Product Manager, Danish Technological Institute. With a strong background in chemistry and biotechnology, Alexander specialises in chemical recycling of textiles and plastics, valorisation of waste and biological side-streams, and sustainable product development. As technical lead on major innovation projects such as En’Zync and ReSuit, Alexander combines scientific expertise with business understanding and hands-on innovation.
Corporate Development Manager, Interzero. With international experience in circular economy, packaging and Extended Producer Responsibility, Nicola works with corporate development and strategic partnerships across the value chain. Together with Patrick Neumann, she will share how strategic partnerships can help close the growing gap between PPWR demand and available recyclate.
Director, Product Development, Interzero. A business economist with more than 15 years of commercial experience in the chemical industry, Patrick works with product development and strategy for recycled plastics, connecting partners across the value chain. Together with Nicola Drotos, he will present partnership approaches to closing the PPWR recyclate gap.
Director Research & Development, BioBTX. Niels combines scientific expertise with experience in scaling new technology, helping take BioBTXs circular aromatics technology from idea towards commercialisation. Niels will share the journey of BioBTXs Integrated Cascading Catalytic Pyrolysis (ICCP) technology – from early idea to the construction of a first-of-a-kind plant – highlighting its technological and economic benefits over non-catalytic pyrolysis processes.
Managing Director, ARCUS Greencycling Technologies. As Managing Director and co-founder of ARCUS, Daniel works to bring chemical recycling from development to industrial application. Daniel will present how ARCUS has overcome the barrier of impurities in mixed waste streams – handling feedstock with up to 10% PVC while still meeting steam cracker specifications – work recently recognised with a gold award from INEOS Inovyn and VinylPlus for advancing circular PVC recycling.
Managing Director, Van Werven Plastic Recycling. With an economics background and more than 20 years of experience in recycling, Eric brings extensive knowledge of the circular economy and the European plastics recycling market, and serves as Vice-Chair of the Polyolefin Circular Economy Platform (PCEP). Together with Kenneth Kaasgaard, Eric will share insights on scaling plastics recycling internationally.
Head of Circular Economy, Ragn-Sells Denmark. Kenneth has extensive experience developing circular solutions for waste and resources, working across value chains to increase reuse and high-quality recycling with particular expertise in plastics and electronics. Alongside Eric van Roekel, Kenneth will share how Ragn-Sells turns waste streams into valuable secondary raw materials.
Senior Sustainability Specialist, Ambu. Nicklas works at the intersection of sustainability, product development and the commercialisation of circular solutions in the medical device industry. His work focuses on integrating circular design while balancing environmental ambitions with customer value. Nicklas will share Ambu’s approaches and lessons learned on the path towards more circular medical devices, with a focus on circular design and scaling take-back programmes.
Director of Materials Innovation, Amcor. With almost 30 years of experience in plastics, polymers and circular materials, Mark drove the development of CleanStream, and today leads Materials Innovation within Amcor Rigid Packaging Solutions Global Core R&D. Mark will share how Amcor has pushed the boundaries of mechanical recycling, now running food-grade mechanical recycling at industrial scale – 30,000 tonnes per year – through integrated sorting and recycling at a single site.
