Pilot production of feed and food
Pilot Production of food products
Develop and test your recipes, ingredients and additives without stopping existing production - or to prepare your new product for the market.
At Danish Technological Institute, we offer a test facility for testing and production at pilot scale. This gives you the opportunity to test new recipes, ingredients and additives for food and feed without disrupting your existing production.
With our extensive experience in extruding plant-based ingredients, we have developed an in-depth understanding of the process, ranging from idea development and training, to recipe testing and small-scale contract production. Our food-approved facilities accommodate everything from SMEs with new food products to be developed, to larger food companies that need to test new ingredients without having to stop their existing production.Katrin Hammer Lytzen, Center Manager for Food technology
Food extrusion
Danish Technological Institute offers food producers the opportunity to test taste, texture and ingredients in product development. Through hygienic conditions and certified equipment, smaller batch tests can be conducted with ongoing adjustments. Our facilities provide flexible solutions, including customization of extruder setup, and support a wide range of products from snacks to plant-based proteins.
Development days at our food-certified facilities
Join us as we test your ingredients, recipes and new food products in our pilot production. At the Danish Technological Institute, we help fine-tune recipes, test unexplored ingredients and develop new products.
Small-scale contract production of various food products
In connection with market research for a new food product, it is advantageous to produce a smaller quantity of products - which is often too small for large production facilities. With the capacity to produce down to 2 tons per production run, our food-grade extruder is ideal for a market launch.
