Setting the scene in a New World Order
Times are changing – the world is no longer as it was, and this affects both our schools and universities as well as companies. New ways of constructing leads to new ways of producing and innovation is the driver of both market power and industry. To kick off the conference we have invited Dr. Azzeddine Oudjehane, Southern Alberta Institute of Technology, Canada as keynote speakers to bring us up to speed on this New World Order.

Keynote

The future of the construction industry – how to get it right
Dr. Azzeddine Oudjehane, Southern Alberta Institute of Technology, Canada

Sustainability, technology and data play a huge role in the construction industry’s shift from “this is how we used to do it” to “this is how we do it today and tomorrow we may be doing it in a different way” – so to speak. But the industry faces one huge challenge: changing the way we build calls for new mindsets and new skills, and therefore it is essential that the future workforce brings what the industry needs to the table. So how do we connect the education and the industry? And how do we make sure that the industry is ready for the future generations who neither will nor should “get in line and do as we have always done”?
