Next-generation thermal management through additive manufacturing

Efficient heating and cooling are emerging as central challenges for a wide range of industries, ranging from data centres to power electronics. In this open 1-day event hosted by DTI’s Centre for Industrial 3D Printing, you will discover how additive manufacturing (AM) can help you overcome thermal bottlenecks.

Whether you are building next-generation Ai hardware, stealth drones with low thermal signature, or a radical new propulsion concept for outer space – at some point, heat becomes the problem. Conventional heating and cooling concepts, and the manufacturing technologies that produce them, reach their limitations.

Having transitioned from a mere prototyping tool to an industrialized serial production technology, AM opens new avenues for better temperature control where traditional methods fail. This event will explore how application, design, and material need to align to make AM a technologically and economically viable option for your cooling and heating challenges.

As part of the event, several of DTI’s industrial partners will give first-hand accounts of their successful implementation of AM for thermal management applications. Furthermore, you will have the opportunity to visit our production facilities, discuss your own challenges and requirements with our AM experts, and network with relevant industry stakeholders.

Participant Profile

This event is aimed at industry leaders and engineers that are looking for new ways to develop their thermal management solutions, regardless of their respective industry. Prior knowledge of additive manufacturing processes is not required.

Practical Information

The in-person event will take place at the Danish Technological Institute in Aarhus from 13:00 to 17:00. Presentations will be conducted in English. Please note that the number of available spots is limited.
